We can hardly believe it – this weekend we are playing our 27th & 28th concert at the Harmonie Bonn. And, as usual, on two consecutive nights. A substantial 900 concert tickets have been sold. And so we experience another two wonderful concerts. That said: Saturday is always the better night at the Harmonie. We don’t know why exactly. One theory is that the Saturday concert goes on sale earlier and the most dedicated fans buy early, whereas the Friday concert only goes on sale once Saturday is nearly sold out. As a result, Friday tends to attract more last-minute attendees, which may affect the atmosphere. Nevertheless, both evenings were superb.
We spend Saturday very relaxed. The band splits into two sightseeing groups: one strolls through town, the other hikes to the Löwenburg, one of the highest and most beautiful viewpoints in the region with a wonderful panorama across the Rhine. There’s some old stonework to admire too. Afterwards Jens, Olaf, our new roadie Steven and Wolfgang visit a coffee shop. A lovely day.
Before the concert we get together for a brief rehearsal and work on a new song.
